Zoe’s Edible Garden is an exciting addition for the patients and families at All Children’s Hospital. The garden will provide the hospital’s patients and families the opportunity to enjoy some of life’s everyday pleasures – like enjoying the warm sunshine, watching the butterflies play and seeing healthy fruits and vegetables take sprout and grow. According to Luci Weber, Child Life Director at All Children’s, “Patients being able to visit the garden – even if they can’t get their hands in the dirt – will enjoy the fresh air and the fun learning opportunities that the garden offers. And, for those patients experiencing regular stays over a period of time, they will be able to visit and see the progress as plants grow and mature.”

Zoe’s Edible Garden will also be a teaching tool through the Fit4Allkids program at the hospital which promotes healthy eating and nutritional information.

And, for the family behind it all, it will be a living legacy to their baby girl, Zoe.
